What an overseas warehouse actually costs you

Cheaper-looking prices from abroad tend to carry three costs that do not show on the product page.

Time

Two to three weeks in transit is common, and there is nothing a supplier can do once a parcel is with an overseas carrier. UK stock means the item is already in the country.

Customs and uncertainty

Imports can be held, inspected, charged or returned. A parcel that never arrives is the most expensive purchase there is. Domestic Royal Mail post does not go through customs.

Accountability

A UK registered company with a published address, company number and VAT number is answerable under UK consumer law. A warehouse of unknown location is not.

Your order is picked from UK stock. The batch number on each item is checked against its Certificate of Analysis before it is packed.

Dispatched by Royal Mail the same day

Ordered before 3pm Monday to Friday, or before 10am Saturday, it leaves our premises that day. You receive tracking by email.
